This subsoiler-leveler is just one of our various field
maintenance units.
The Equipment Library contains several units that farmers may use to address
field maintenance issues. One of our more popular units that farmers use
in their conservation tillage practices is the
KMC Subsoiler-Leveler.
We have three of these 9-shank units in inventory that can be used to correct
compaction problems in fields while leaving the soil surface minimally
disturbed. This is ideal for farmers that have achieved desirable organic
buildup, but have encountered compaction problems. Also in inventory are a
6-yard Prime Dirt Pan (w/ dolly wheels) and a 7-ft Marden Brush
Chopper for maintenance of waterways, borders, and other erosion control
efforts. A Newton-Crouch Fertilizer Spreader,
which is set up to familiarize farmers with precision-application options, is
also available year-round.
Farmer Benefits
- These units aid the farmer in a variety of ways, and are especially
helpful for infrequent, but necessary, field maintenance issues.
- Farmers may address infrequent or time-sensitive field activities
without huge investments in the specialized equipment or its upkeep--the
library enables farmers to share these costs on a minimal level.
- Spreader unit may be used for cover crop seeding as well as fertilizer
application.
